The Miss Refined International semi-finalists have been busy during the last few days. They have been proving more and more as each week passes that they have what it takes to be a top contender. For our latest challenge the ladies were asked to show their creativity in how they have become “Refined” during their time so far on Second Life.

If you didn’t see your name listed here this time, don’t be discouraged. A few small errors could have easily made the difference. The final tallys were really close but we had to go with the top 14. We are no longer accepting applications for the MRI 2010 title but will begin accepting them for the 2011 title beginning December 1.

The top 21 official semi-finalists heading into November will compete in weekly challenges that will be calculated as part of their final score during the final eliminations that will take place in December that will determine our winner.

October is here! The weather is getting colder but the Miss Refined International™ (MRI) contest is heating up and things are just getting started. With one month out of the way, our panel of distinguished guest judges have selected our first set of official seven semi-finalists from September. The first set of official seven semi-finalists are:

We are still accepting applications for October contestants in an effort to best choose who will earn the right to cast to become one of our official October 2009 MRI semi-finalists. If you think you have what it takes and would like a chance to eventually earn the MRI crown and associated privileges that go along with it, be sure to fill out and return the MRI application which also has prize information located at the MPI Plaza & Official Miss Refined International Information Center

This month’s casting weekend is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of October 24th and 25th so please be sure to mark your calendars accordingly. We want to make sure that everyone who chooses to participate is prepared well in advance. Those chosen to cast will be measured by 10 key criteria. I will say that nearly every aspect of your avatar is analyzed so this contest is about being the best that you can be among other things. We will be choosing 14 semi-finalists in October bringing the total semi-finalist count to 21 by the end of that month.  October will also be the final month in 2009 that we will be casting for semi-finalist contestants for the 2010 title. In November, the semi-finalists will compete and be narrowed down to five finalists. The five finalists will go on to compete and be judged in a rigorous set of challenges during the month of December leading up to the final pageant to be held late December 2009 to crown the winner.

PLEASE NOTE: If you applied for Miss Refined International™ in September and were chosen to cast last month but did not make it as one of the seven chosen, you do get another chance to cast in October so watch out for your name when that announcement is made.
